Positioned as the final TV series of Phase Five, it seems more like a contractual obligation than a passion project, especially considering how it’s being quietly dropped during the hype wave of the new #Superman trailer from DC. Ironheart had its soft debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever back in 2022. The character of Riri Williams—played by Dominique Thorne—was intended as a next-gen tech prodigy, an heir of sorts to Iron Man’s legacy. Yet despite her high-tech suit and brilliant mind, Riri didn’t exactly leave fans clamoring for more.
The show was actually shot during the Wakanda Forever production, meaning Marvel had this spinoff in the pipeline for a while. But with the ever-growing list of underwhelming Marvel Disney+ series (She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, Echo, Agatha, Wonder Man—if that even still exists), it’s hard to feel any genuine anticipation for yet another.

A finale to Phase Five that feels more like an epilogue than a climax.
Hope after this, and Wonder Man, Marvel gets on track again with F4 and Doomsday.
